Moses led a people who turned away from God and stood under his judgment. In that moment, he stepped forward as their mediator, pleading for mercy but unable to remove their guilt. Good Friday shows us what Moses could only reach for. Jesus stands in the gap and does what no one else could, fully satisfying the judgment we deserved.
